How long does Microdermabrasion take?


Microdermabrasion treatments take about 30-45 minutes. The number of treatments required is based on the severity of the skin condition, however our clients usually opt for packages of 5 to 10 to get optimal results.

What are the side effects of Microdermabrasion, if any?


Patients usually see slight flaking for several days following the treatment. There is no down time associated with this procedure. While you may resume your daily activity immediately, we recommend wearing sunscreen if you plan to be outside in the sun.

How long does the treatment last?


Microdermabrasion results are fairly long-lasting (several weeks), however, it depends on the severity of the skin damage and the number of treatments received. While you may require up to four treatments per month initially; with time most of our clients need only one treatment every couple of months, which fits well as a part of their routine monthly skin care.

What can I expect after a Microdermabrasion Treatment?


Microdermabrasion is often called a "lunch hour" treatment because it's a quick procedure that can be performed during your lunch hour with little or no discomfort.

Who are the best candidates for Microdermabrasion?


Although Microdermabrasion is a very safe procedure, it is not the best option for everyone. Certain skin types and conditions can be negatively affected by the treatment. For some, Microdermabrasion can even result in significant scarring. Patients with severe rosacea, active acne, eczema, or dermatitis are not good candidates for Hydradermabrasion. For those patients non-ablative facial treatments such as IPL photofacials, and HydraFacials are available.
